TODAY was a new day and it was much needed and appreciated.
Let's start off with the fact that I woke up to my freaking phone alarm going off at 7am...who does that on a Saturday and you don't have to work or nothing to do? ME!!!! So, I wait about an hour or two, watching a few episodes of Power Rangers:Samurai and a few episodes of Supah Ninjas on Nick Toons. All I can say, it has been awhile since I have watched "this kind of tv." Let me tell you, Power Rangers: Samurai was too funny. The new Gold Ranger was revealed and he was very confident to be a new ranger...HOLD UP, WHY AM I TALKING ABOUT POWER RANGERS?
Anyway, back to my day. I finally got off the couch and tried to be productive as I could be. I put some clothes on and headed out to see Roxboro. Guess What? I "Facebooked" it and my girl "Deuce Deuce" hit me up and said, "You know where I'm at!" So, I had to go...
Where did I go? I went to my old job...The Hampton Inn of Roxboro
I enjoyed my time there. I saw Bev. and Deuce Deuce. Since Bev. had not put the breakfast away. I went in like a hungry homeless man. They have pre-made Oatmeal with toppings as well. Almond slivers, craisins and raisins, and cinnamon with sugar. There was also some boiled eggs that I'm definitely regretted later. I took some fruit cups and orange juice to go as well...HUNGRY
Off to Granny's I went!
I forgot my key like I always do, but my Godmother was there and she let me in. As I got in, Granny said, "Where is your key?" "I forgot them" She said, "Because I wasn't gonna get up, I thought it was the man with the newspaper or somebody else." I said, "I'm sorry I forgot them."
We continued to talk and the freaking Barefoot Contessa came on the television. We both said, "UGH" as we discussed our disdain for her. We then started discussing her recent trip to the Emergency room. She said that her blood pressure and blood sugar was pretty amazing for someone needing an emergency room visit. After that discussion, she started talking about Paula Deen because I told her I had a pan like the Barefoot Contessa and that beautiful Veal chop she made.
My granny went ham on Paula Deen. She said that she now has Type 2 Diabetes <----that's what she said. She also said that she knew Paula Deen would end up having some type of something all that butter she be putting in that food she makes. She also said, "They said she was the worst tv cook." I said, "REALLY?" "COULDN'T BE!" She said, "That's what they said, and I saw it in her eyes, her eyes were so dark on Oprah!"
She continued to say, "That white haired man gonna get it next!" You know I asked, "What white haired man Granny?" She said, "The crazy one!" "Oh, Guy Fieri, I love him Granny!" He really does get it in if you didn't know that. She said, "He gonna get something!" I laughed my butt off.
Then, the rest of the family came in also! My mama, niece, Aunt Nancy, Aunt Payne, and Sharon. We cackled and laughed about any and everything.
After visiting with the family, I had to go see my BFF Linda. I love spending time with her. I met her while working at the Hampton Inn.
I sent her a message and as soon as I got there, she was still in her car. I went to see what she was doing and I got in. We were on our way. We went to her mom's got some movies, then we went to her dad's and saw Sparky, the new puppy. After visiting with Sparky, we went back to her place.
We shot the breeze and we watched Hangover II and we laughed so hard at that freaking movie. OMG, I literally died laughing at that hot mess of a movie. We then watched Madea's Happy Family. BFF asked, "Did we go see this? I told her, "IDK!" One thing we don't do...Palace Pointe (only if something important is out and we are desperate or have a gift card...only time it is permissible) Anyway, we talked about that movie and how the little girl behind us knew every freaking word of the movie..."How did this little girl know all words to the freaking movie and it just came out like yesterday?" I forgot, "black market!" We were not happy with that situation...we gave a lot of angry looks and "Really?" BYRONNNNNNNNNN (HAHAHAHAHA)
After that movie, I made my exit and gave my BFF a hug "until we meet again"
